I redesigned three IRCTC websites using two popular Claude Code design skills, Impeccable and Taste. I built a version with each one, plus a hybrid that blends the two. Here are the results.
I gave both skills the same job and then told Claude to just go all out.
Impeccable went big but stayed sensible. Every page has one moment that shows off, like a line that draws itself across the map between your two stations, buttons that react as you move, a dark and expensive look, yet calm. Impeccable reads IRCTC as a product, so the design serves the task. The most trustworthy and usable of the three for a public service.
Taste is the most spectacular and memorable of the three. It clearly had fun. Giant moving text, a page that scrolls sideways and takes you across India, and cards that stack as you go. But it cares more about the experience than the form.
The third is a mix of the two, and it is the one that actually suits IRCTC. Big and loud at the top, then quiet and simple the second you need to book.
The one-line takeaway: For a marketing or landing surface, Taste would likely win outright. For a pure dashboard, Impeccable. IRCTC is both a brand front and a booking tool at once, which is exactly why the Hybrid, bold hero plus calm task body, fits it best.
Remember that a skill out of the box only gets you so far on its own. Even with the exact same skills, the output improved significantly when I shaped it in my own direction.
